JOHNSON DISTANCES HIMSELF FROM 'MISOGYNISTIC' CLAIMS

Boris Johnson has written to opposition deputy leader Angela Rayner to distance himself from claims he says are misogynistic.

A story in the Mail on Sunday newspaper claimed Ms Rayner crosses and uncrosses her legs to distract the British prime minister in the House of Commons.

It was attributed to an anonymous Conservative MP.

Labour's shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves says she's not surprised at the story.
