NATO leaders have agreed to send troop reinforcements to the alliance's eastern fringes in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Four new battle groups are to be positioned in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia after NATO leaders ratified the decision at an emergency summit in Brussels today.
US President Joe Biden has also announced fresh initiatives.
