Dozens of Conservative MPs are expected to vote against Prime Minister
Boris Johnson's so-called 'Plan B' covid restrictions later.
Lawmakers will vote on wider face mask mandates, mandatory
vaccinations for NHS staff, and covid passes for entry to venues like
nightclubs.
The measures are expected to pass despite the Conservative rebellion
because the opposition Labour Party will back the government.
Justice Secretary Dominic Raab is playing down reports the government
may see some resignations over the restrictions which are designed to
slow the spread of the Omicron variant.
