Moderna booster provides added protection from Omicron, as U.S. sees surge in cases

Vaccine manufacturer Moderna's booster data shows a third dose does provide added protection against the latest coronavirus variant Omicron.

There are already an average of more than 125,000 new COVID-19 cases every day in the U.S and health officials are warning of a further surge over the holidays.
