Private sector companies in the United States have been given a January 4th deadline to make sure their workforces are either fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or being tested for the virus weekly.
The Biden administration has also unveiled new emergency requirements for certain healthcare workers.
The mandate is meant to boost vaccine uptake, but it has put the White House on a collision course with some state officials who claim it's an overreach of executive power.
