US stocks mixed on Biden’s Fed decision

The S&P 500 hit a new record high Monday before giving up those gains
as investors reacted to news that Jerome Powell looks set to continue
on as Chair of the Federal Reserve.

President's Biden's decision to stick with Powell is a blow to some
progressives that wanted a change at the top of the Central Bank.
