Japan kicks off debate on $265 billion stimulus

The Japanese government has begun discussions on an economic stimulus package that could total more than $265 billion in order to revive the pandemic-hit economy.

Prime Minister Kishida has pledged a form of "new capitalism" to promote both growth and wealth distribution, and tackle growing income inequality.
