BELARUS’ LUKASHENKO SAYS "WILL NOT KNEEL DOWN” ON MIGRANT BORDER SITUATION

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenka, says he will not "kneel down", as the EU mulls further sanctions against Belarusian officials and businesses.

The EU says Belarus has launched a "hybrid attack" on its borders, by inviting asylum seekers from the Middle East to Minsk, promising them a route to EU countries.

Thousands of migrants have set-up makeshift camps along Poland's border, and some are trying to break through barbed-wire fencing.

Germany's foreign minister calls it "blackmail".
