Japanese companies to offer benefits to vaccinated customers

Japanese companies will offer discounts and other benefits to customers who can show proof of COVID-19 vaccination via a smartphone app.

The country is no longer under a virus state of emergency and businesses are looking at ways to boost domestic demand... while avoiding a rebound in infections.
