US federal advisers decline to approve COVID-19 booster shots

The Biden administration’s plan to offer COVID-19 Pfizer booster shots to Americans has been dealt a blow, with US federal advisers declining to recommend the extra shots.

A panel made up of members of the Food and Drug Administration's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee analyzed new data from Israel and challenged the notion boosters are really necessary.
