UK MPs TO VOTE ON SOCIAL CARE TAX RISE

UK MPs will vote later to approve Boris Johnson's plans to raise taxes to deal with a health service backlog and the reform of social care.

The Prime Minister is breaking an election promise by raising national insurance contributions by 1.25 percentage points.

Health Secretary - Sajid Javid - says the tax rise is actually in line with Conservative values.
