Paralympics reach the finish line amid Covid-19 struggles

The Tokyo Paralympics closed Sunday night after nearly two weeks of tournaments, in which 4400 athletes from around the world competed for gold.

International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons said reaching the final day was an emotional moment as there were doubts over whether the event could go ahead amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As celebrations wind down, Japan is still facing an uphill struggle to bring infections under control.
