Evacuations from Afghanistan have increased in the last day with
16,000 people flown out from Kabul airport, 11,000 of them by the US
military.
The Pentagon says it still aims to complete evacuations before the
August 31st deadline, following warnings from the Taliban that they
won't allow troops to stay longer.
