LIB DEMS TAKE CONSERVATIVE STRONGHOLD IN BY-ELECTION

The Liberal Democrats have managed to oust the Conservative party from a constituency seat that they had held since 1974. A by-election had been triggered in Chesham and Amersham following the death of former Welsh Secretary Dame Cheryl Gillan. The Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey said the result will send  a 'shockwave' through British politics. Laura Makin-Isherwood reports.
