India launches centralised vaccination drive after criticism over shortages

Starting today, India is, in a sense, relaunching its COVID19 vaccination drive.

Six months since it started inoculating citizens, the drive in a country that manufactures more vaccines than any other has been plagued by shortages.

Now the central government is centralising the process of vaccine procurement once again, with the promise that a majority of all Indians will get the vaccine free.
