The UK is ramping up calls for people to take a covid-19 vaccine when offered it - to fight the spread of the India-discovered variant.
It comes after ministers said some vulnerable people who've been hospitalised in hotspot areas for the variant were eligible for a jab but hadn't yet had one.
70% of the UK's adult population has had at least one vaccine dose - and those in their mid 30s are now being called forward.
It's reported the government is discussing contingency plans for local lockdowns if the India variant isn't quickly brought under control.
But cabinet minister George Eustace says he still hopes the economy can be fully unlocked next month.
