South Africa’s ruling party is facing ongoing defiance from its corruption-accused secretary general. Leaders facing criminal or serious civil charges had 30 days to voluntarily step aside, failing which they were threatened with suspension from the African National Congress, until their court cases are resolved. Instead of abiding by the terms of his suspension, the disgruntled secretary general is fighting back. Mark Roughton reports.
