France loosens restrictions as primary schools reopen after Covid-19 closure

The first easing of the French government's Covid-19 "supplementary braking measures" imposed in March is taking place on Monday as primary schoolchildren return to the classrooms.

All schools were closed for three weeks to try to control the third wave of coronavirus infections.
