Cities across America are on edge, as they wait for a verdict in the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin, who stands accused of murdering African-American George Floyd in May last year.
Closing arguments have concluded and the jury sent to deliberate- sequestered in a hotel until they reach a decision.
Security in Minneapolis - and in several other major US cities- has been ramped up, ahead of likely protests, whatever the outcome.
