Belgium sees first slowdown in new infections for weeks

The average number of new daily coronavirus infections has fallen for the second day in Belgium, in a sign that the strict new measures in place to curb the spread of the virus are taking effect. 

The Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo (PR: CROW) has warned that measures will need to be in place until a vaccine is available, likely in the spring 2021.
