UK employees will be paid two-thirds of their wages by the government — if their place of employment is forced to shut because of coronavirus restrictions.
The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, says the scheme will run for six months from November -- protecting jobs and allowing businesses to reopen swiftly once any local restrictions are lifted.
