The East African Community election observer mission has kicked off its operations in Tanzania's commercial city of Dar es salaam.
Speaking at the flagging off event the head of the mission former president of Burundi, Sylvestre Ntibantunganya revealed that teams will be deployed in various regions of the country including Zanzibar. This comes ahead of the nation's general elections slated for October 28th.
