India crosses 7.55 million confirmed COVID 19 cases

India has added over 55,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the country's total caseload to over 7.55 million.

A panel appointed by the Indian government - to study the future course of the pandemic, say coronavirus infections may have already peaked in India and the virus can be brought under control by early next year.

This panel consists of a group of scientists and health experts from India's top institutions.
