Conservative US Supreme Court nominee evades questions about key issues in politically charged confirmation hearing (wrap)

US Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett has evaded questions about her views on key issues on day two of her Senate confirmation hearing.

She also said that no one at the White House has pressured her to rule in any particular way.

The hearing is politically charged as her confirmation would cement a conservative majority on the country's highest court for years to come.
