Tanzania is gearing up for its general elections in October. As President John Magufuli is looking to run for a second term, his former foreign minister Bernard Membe who left the ruling party has asked the opposition behind him for the best chance at creating an upset. The ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has been in power since independence.
