A mixed close on Wall Street as the tech sector loses steam

It was a mixed close on Wall Street with investors digesting corporate
earnings as earnings season hits full swing.

Investors are also hopeful that U.S. lawmakers will be able to pass
another stimulus measure before an unemployment benefits package
expires.
