UK PAYROLL NUMBERS SLUMP

The number of UK workers on payroll fell by over 600 000 between March and May.

The 2.1% fall only reflects six weeks of the UK's coronavirus lockdown.

Job vacancies also slumped to a record low in May according to the data from the Office for National Statistics.

Markets expert David Buik says this will soon feed through into a rising unemployment rate.
