Premier League footballer Marcus Rashford has renewed his calls for a school meal voucher scheme to be extended. The Manchester Utd and England forward says the government should consider the plight of struggling parents and children who wake up to empty shelves.
Families whose children qualify for free meals have received vouchers or parcels during lockdown, but this provision is due to end in England when the school term finishes.
