Choppy trading on Wall Street as traders eye Covid-19 spikes

It was a choppy day of trading on Wall Street Thursday as a rise in
Covid-19 infections in the U.S. continues to rattle investor
confidence.

Traders were also digesting news that a further 1.5 million Americans
filed for unemployment benefits for the first time last week.
