The European Union and other countries have called for an independent evaluation of the World Health Organisation's (WHO) response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Australia had called for an independent inquiry - a resolution backed by more than half of the WHO's member countries at its 73rd annual meeting.
Australia's health minister Greg Hunt said a detailed understanding what happened was needed:
