The impeachment trial of US President Donald Trump has started with
his lawyers arguing he has done "absolutely nothing wrong".
The Senate is spending the day debating and then voting on the rules
that will govern the trial over the next few weeks.
The Republicans have allowed more time for arguments, after the
Democrats accused them of trying to rush through the impeachment.
Lead House impeachment manager, Democrat Adam Schiff said the
President's actions should lead to his removal from office.
