BORIS JOHNSON: HUAWEI CRITICS MUST GIVE "ALTERNATIVES"

Boris Johnson has insisted that he would not risk Britain's security when upgrading the nation's 5G network. 

The UK, which is nearing a decision over whether to allow Huawei to help build its systems, has been under increasing pressure from the U.S. to block the firm. 

But Mr Johnson said opponents of the Chinese telecoms giant needed to "come up alternatives."
