U.S. Lawmakers pass bill supporting Hong Kong protesters

The US House of Representatives passed a bill to protect the human rights of protesters in Hong Kong on Wednesday

As a crackdown on pro-democracy protests continues, US lawmakers voted for the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act with overwhelming support

The legislation now heads to President Trump's desk where he will either sign or veto the bill
