UK PM TO CHAIR EMERGENCY MEETING AFTER ENGLAND FLOODING

The UK prime minister, Boris Johnson, is chairing an emergency meeting after severe flooding in northern England.

One person has died, 400 homes have been flooded, and over a thousand properties have been evacuated.

Multiple flood warnings are in place, including 'severe' warnings, which mean there's a danger to life.
