Afghanistan's president says the government will release three high-ranking Taliban prisoners in exchange for two hostages held by the group for nearly three years. The Afghan leader says the release of the two professors would "pave the way" for the start of unofficial direct talks between his government and the Taliban, who long have refused to negotiate with Ghani's administration, during the 18-year Afghan war.
