The Uganda Communications Commission has threatened to revoke the licenses of 5 local media houses over what they called breaching minimum broadcasting standards.
The commission says the media houses aired programs that were extremist and anarchic in April, leading to the incitement of violence during protests that led to the arrest of prominent politician Bobi Wine.
The media houses include top media houses in the country including NTV, NBS, Bukedde TV among others
