The UK says it has shared some confidential documents with the EU on the type of Brexit deal it's seeking.
But London insists more formal 'written solutions' will be presented when the UK is ready - and not to an 'artificial deadline'.
It comes after Finland insisted Britain has til the end of the month to present legal texts for proposals to solve the Irish border backstop issue.
Britain is due to leave the EU on October 31st.
