Hong Kong protests see '1.7 million take to streets' as demonstrations head for 12th week

As many as 1.7 million protesters took to the streets of Hong Kong as pro-democracy demonstrations entered their 11th consecutive week.

Despite clashes over the last few weeks this weekend's vast gathering was considered largely peaceful
