10 days on, Kashmir remains cut-off

Prime Minister Modi's government has defended its move to keep restrictions in place in Indian administered Kashmir for more than ten days now. It says that the situation is a trade-off between restrictions and loss of life.

India has revoked a special status for Kashmir giving New Delhi more control over the region- a move that has been criticised by Islamabad. 

Both India and Pakistan govern Kashmir in parts but claim the disputed region in full.
