The UK will commit to cutting greenhouse gas emissions to close to zero by 2050, according to new plans.
Britain would be the first G7 nation to adopt such a target to attempt to slow climate change.
Emissions from industry, transport, homes and farming will either have to be cut completely - or offset where that's not possible.
The plans have received praise from some environmentalists - others say it's too late.
