Six of seven men accused of the rape, torture and murder of an eight-year-old Muslim girl in Indian-administered Kashmir have been found guilty.
The case sparked nationwide outrage because of the brutality of the crime and also because several Hindu right-wing groups, lawyers and two leaders from the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party had protested the arrest of the accused.
