UK Prime Minister Theresa May is preparing a letter to the EU, seeking a further extension to Brexit.
Brussels sources suggest European Council President Donald Tusk is considering offering a 12 month delay - but giving the UK the ability to leave the bloc sooner if its Parliament passes a deal.
In the UK, the Conservatives and opposition Labour Party continue talks to try and find a Brexit compromise.
Britain is currently due to leave the EU on 12th April.
