Brexit Delay : UK PM Insist country can leave by end of May

The British Prime Minister Theresa May has urged MPs not to waste time, after the EU granted the UK until 31st October for a Brexit extension.


Under the new EU rules, the UK willl now have to hold European Parliament elections in May or face leaving on June 1st without a deal.


The Prime Minister said that talks with opposition party Labour will continue, aimed at finding a compromise over Brexit and if they didn't, a series of options would be put to parliament.

But leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn used the delay to Brexit as an excuse to lambast the government.
