N. Koreans await results in parliamentary elections

North Koreans have voted in parliamentary elections for the second time since Kim Jong-un took power. But in these elections, there's no choice of candidates, and support for Kim's government is always unanimous.

The votes are reportedly being tallied.

But the outcome will be no surprise.

Voters around the country only have one choice for their representative to the Supreme People's Assembly.

The candidates are chosen by Kim Jong-un's ruling Workers Party and two minor parties.

But they all back Kim's governing alliance.

The legislature has little, if any, independent power.

During the last election in 2014, state media reported nearly 100 percent turnout.

And that year, Kim was unanimously elected to his seat in the legislature.
