Ambassador Harris said the U.S. and North Korea share the same goal.

That is, a final, fully verified removal of nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula.

Speaking at a security forum in Seoul, Harris also suggested North Korea has a brighter future if it gives up its nuclear weapons.

Harris also said the U.S. and Seoul completely agree sanctions stay in place until denuclearization.

At their first meeting last year, President Trump and leader Kim agreed Kim would give up his weapons.

But as they prepare for a second summit, little progress has been made toward that end.
