UN warns of global terrorist threat

The United Nations has warned the Islamic State continues to pose a
global threat as the terrorist group "most likely" to carry out a
large-scale attack.

The African continent has growing hotspots including the Sahel, the
Lake Chad basin, Libya, Tunisia and Somalia according to the UN's
Counter-Terrorism agency.
