The Trump administration has said it's cancelling nearly $1 billion in funding for a high-speed rail system that was to be built between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
California's governor says the move is "clear political retribution," coming on the heels of his state's decision to join 15 other U.S. states in suing the Trump administration over its declaration of a national emergency on the US-Mexico border.
