N. Korea calls for corresponding steps from U.S. ahead of summit

North Korea is calling on the U.S. to take corresponding measures ahead of the upcoming summit between President Trump and leader Kim. North Korea believes it's shown it's serious about denuclearization, and now it's time for Washington to act.

North Korean state media report Pyongyang is requesting 'corresponding practical action' from Washington.

Seeking sanctions relief, North Korea claims to have destroyed nuclear and missile testing sites last year.

But Washington says it wants more proof Pyongyang is truly willing to give up its nuclear weapons.

North Korea and the U.S. wrapped up talks last Friday ahead of this month's summit between Trump and Kim.

Both sides have been unclear about what they're willing to offer at the second leaders summit.

But it appears they have more work to do to avoid another meeting that yields little more than smiling leaders.
