India's top court refuses to ban fireworks even as Delhi's pollution levels worsen

The Indian Supreme Court has rejected a petition that had sought a ban on the manufacture and sale of firecrackers across the country to curb air pollution.

The court has given the go ahead to less polluting crackers for the Hindu festival of Diwali.
