EU rejects Italian budget in unprecedented move

The European Union is rejecting Italy's budget proposals for overspending which Brussels believes will increase the Italian deficit.

Italy's government was elected on a promise to put an end to austerity.

Our Europe correspondent Jack Parrock says it's the first time the EU has rejected a budget.
